The Castle Head Walk is one of the Blue Mountains’ best-kept secrets, offering a front-row seat to the Mount Solitary Peak. Starting at the gate on Glenraphael Dr, on Narrow Neck, this relatively flat track winds through the heathland, giving views most of the way out to Castle Head lookout.

As you reach the dramatic sandstone outcrop, the plateau drops away to reveal a staggering 360-degree panorama of the Jamison and Mount Solitary. You get a birds eye view of Ruined Castle, and distant views of the Three Sisters. It is a great great spot for photographers and solitude-seekers.
