South Lawson Waterfall Circuit
Honour Avenue, Lawson
The South Lawson Waterfall Circuit is a hidden gem for those seeking maximum beauty with moderate effort. This 3km loop winds through lush, temperate rainforest and follows a creek line that reveals four distinct cascades: Adelina, Junction, Federal, and Cataract Falls. Each waterfall offers a unique personality, from the mossy amphitheater of Junction Falls to the sandy, shallow pools of Federal Falls - perfect for a quick toe-dip.
Unlike many tracks in the National Park, this circuit is located on Crown Land, making it a rare dog-friendly trail (on-leash). It’s an ideal choice for families and photography enthusiasts, offering stunning long-exposure opportunities of the tiered sandstone drops amidst a cathedral of ancient ferns and towering gums.
