Foy’s Folly
690 Megalong Road, Megalong Valley
Located on the floor of the Megalong Valley, with the soaring escarpment a backdrop, Foy’s Folly is situated on a working cattle farm.
The architecture is sleek and contemporary, featuring soaring ceilings and expansive windows that frame the dramatic sandstone cliffs of the Blue Mountains. With its double-sided stone fireplace and a deep bathtub overlooking the paddocks, it is designed for slow living.
Once part of the original ‘Valley Farm’ owned by Mark Foy, the legendary entrepreneur behind the Hydro Majestic Hotel. In the early 20th century, this land supplied the hotel with fresh produce via a daring flying fox that scaled the escarpment; today, Foy’s Folly serves as a peaceful escape from the city.
Whether you're watching the resident kangaroos at dusk or walking to the nearby Megalong Tea Rooms, Foy’s Folly perfectly balances the valley’s rugged history with modern comfort.
