Hotel Etico
11 Montgomery Street, Mount Victoria
Housed in the historic Mount Victoria Manor, Hotel Etico is Australia’s first social enterprise hotel. Built in 1876 for John Fairfax, the hotel provides professional hospitality training and independent living skills to young adults with intellectual disabilities. This unique model, which originated in Italy, allows guests to contribute to life-changing career pathways just by booking a room.
The hotel features 15 elegantly restored rooms, sprawling gardens, and Niccolò’s Restaurant & Bar, serving authentic Italian cuisine and wood-fired pizzas. With its cozy fireplaces, well-stocked library, and regular live music sessions, the atmosphere is warm and inclusive.
