Sublime Point Lookout
Sublime Point Road, leura
If you want the scale of Echo Point without the swarming crowds, Sublime Point Lookout in Leura is your essential detour. Perched at the end of a dramatic peninsula that juts into the Jamison Valley, this vantage point offers an almost 360-degree panoramic embrace of the Blue Mountains wilderness.
The experience begins with a short, scenic 400m walk from the car park, leading you across a small footbridge over a deep ravine. Once on the rocky platform, you’re greeted by a perspective of the Three Sisters you won't see in brochures - looking at them from the side rather than the front. To your left, the cliffs of Kings Tableland stretch out, while directly ahead, Mount Solitary dominates the valley floor.
It’s a favourite spot for rock climbers and photographers alike, especially at sunrise when the mist clings to the valley and the first light sets the sandstone ablaze.
